IK EXPANSION PACKSĀ are our attempt and making it as easy as possible to expand your sonic vocabulary and customize your IK Template with the virtual instruments you already own but may not be using (eitherĀ becauseĀ there are too many patches to search through, or because integrating them with a template is actually a lot of work). Once installed, it’s your turn to figure out how you will use the patches in andĀ amongst the stock MainStage patches! We can’t wait to hear what you’re going to do with them!!
The Roland JUNO-60 is a vintage synth with an iconic sound. I owned the actual keyboard at one time, and love the sound and ease of programming. But to be honest the six-voice polyphony bothered me. Even if no-one else could hear it, I could hear notes shutting off whenever I played a new chord. Also Juno-60 was pre-MIDI, which meant it couldn’t layer with another instrument.
The TAL-U-No-LXĀ virtual instrument is an incredible and cost-effective emulation of that same classic Juno-60 sound, but includes 12-voice polyphony! THIS is why we love digital versions of hardware synths… Ā well, this and the ability to do real-time modulation of synth parameters!! The Juno-60 never had aftertouch or a mod-wheel, but it does now! What if you could control multiple parameters over precise ranges using just the mod-wheel, and even pull the volume down slightly as you opened a filter? What if you could actually play the portamento of an arpeggio with aftertouch! This package is absolute insanity and makes me fall in love with the Juno-60 like never before!!!
NOTE: This expansion pack contains no samplesĀ so takes up almost no hard drive space! i.e. < 5 MB. It is not new sounds for TAL-U-No-LXĀ Juno-60 emulator. Instead, this expansion pack is an implementation of the TAL-U-No-LXĀ virtual instrument, with X-Y Pad parameters, volume, and effects parameters all carefully curated, Ā into our templates.
